Yet another great programme not shown on STV. What garbage are they showing instead - don't know, don't care.
BBC is rubbish so I tuned in to STV - now STV is worse than BBC - and I never thought that would be possible. We don't watch any of the programmes instead we watch DVDs. So now we have to buy DVDs to get some devent entertainment and are forced to pay a TV TAX in order to watch them. Shocking. Absolutely shocking. Is there a way round this?

I've taped many movies and tv sit-com's for many many years, and watch them. I can't find anything decent to watch on tv either, so I mainly throw in a tape. If you could subscribe to a movie channel and watch it for a spell, and just tape what you like, then you will have something to watch for years. You might have to pay a small charge at first, I don't know because I never had to), but once you have several recorded you can just watch them all of the time. I have around 300 taped over the years. They repeat shows on tv, so I don't mind. I put several on one tape. So if I have a few hundred tapes, and several movies, etc. on each tape, I can watch a lot ot tv shows without watching the garbage anymore. In face, I have a lot of the tv shows I haven't seen in awhile. Like shirley Temple, Fred Astair, Ginger Rodgers, Elizabeth Taylor, and just too numerous to mention. So if you can find a few to record little at a time, after awhile you will have something decent to watch when there's nothing on tv. I don't have dvd player. I just stuck with the regular tape player, and have four of them, each in a different room. Some of them I just let them record the ads and all. I didn't always have the time just to sit there and take out the ads, when I was sewing or busy with something else. At least I got the shows on and sit-coms that I really liked to watch. I always liked House on the Prarie, and have a lot of those recorded, and also The Golden Girls. On some of the tapes I have some of the same shows, but it is the same on tv. At least I can have the showson that I really enjoy. Just record a few at a time, and before you know it, you will have something decent to watch, and will till be able to watch it when it is taken off the air. Hope this suggestion helped you, Carol. Happy Quilting! Oh, sorry this was so long for me to explain this.
